Mornings set the tone for the entire day, which is why Iāve created a routine thatās both intentional and adaptable. My flexible morning routine centers around mindfulness, movement, and most importantlyāyoga. I believe starting the day with flow and breath allows me to stay grounded and present, no matter what the day brings.

I donāt follow a rigid schedule with exact times. Instead, Iāve built a gentle framework that I can adjust depending on how I feel when I wake up. Sometimes I have 15 minutes; other mornings, Iāll take an hour. The goal isnāt perfectionāit’s presence.
My day usually begins around 6:30 AM. I resist the urge to immediately reach for my phone and instead sit up slowly, stretch, and take a few deep breaths. Before getting out of bed, I do a brief body scanāchecking in with how I feel physically and emotionally. This helps me decide what kind of yoga flow Iāll do that morning.

Next, I hydrate with a glass of warm lemon water and open a window to let in fresh air. I light a candle or a bit of incense to create a calming environment. I roll out my yoga mat in my living room, surrounded by natural light, and begin a gentle warm-up. This may include cat-cow stretches, seated twists, or neck rollsājust enough to wake up my body.

From there, I move into a yoga flow that matches my energy level. On slower mornings, I might focus on deep stretches, hip openers, and longer holds. On days when I feel energized, I go for a more dynamic vinyasa-style flow, integrating sun salutations, standing poses, and balance work.

One non-negotiable is breathwork. Whether Iām doing an energizing or restorative flow, I always prioritize deep, conscious breathing. It helps center my mind and connect with my body. Often, I finish my flow with a short meditationāsometimes guided, sometimes silent.

After yoga, Iāll take a few minutes to journal. I write down how I feel, what Iām grateful for, and a few intentions for the day. This small act gives me clarity and direction.
The beauty of this routine is that itās not about being perfect or productiveāitās about creating space for myself in the morning. Itās about beginning the day from a place of calm and control rather than chaos.
